The Nashvillian

project brief

We are so excited to partner with the folks over at The Nashvillian. Formerly known as The East Nashvillian, this grassroots publication went through an expansion to include the greater Nashville area to help expand their footprint. Unfortunately, the pandemic took the world by surprise along with the momentum The Nashvillian was just gaining. With all that behind us, EyeCandy is helping give these awesome storytellers a digital platform to continue their mission.

EyeCandy was able to help recover an old, deprecated site that wasn’t functioning properly and on it’s last leg. Starting with developing a strategy for delivering their content more effectively from an SEO standpoint, we reworked the navigation and taxonomy to help visitors become more engaged and find what they are looking for. A design refresh was part of the project to help showcase the amazing photography that brings their stories to life. Additionally, we rebuilt the site in a new framework that will keep the site running smoothly for years to come.

The site turned out beautiful in the words of the client. More importantly, the website engages the viewer more effectively by drawing them in through enticing headlines and savvy visuals that are reflective of the print edition. With the new site launched, The Nashvillian is positioned to deliver even more to it’s readers. We are currently working through a strategic plan to bring all the publications under one site. Furthermore, the new website framework has made it easier on The Nashvillian staff letting them focus their time on more important things. We look forward to the years of partnership ahead.
